Work Details
By superimposing the figures of a tree and a beast, I created the motifs of the “tree of life” and specter beings in Jewish mysticism. The tree of life is a universal symbol connecting the universe, nature, and human existence, and it is also a diagram showing the boundary between reality and the invisible world.
The red earth represents the root of life like blood veins, and the blue space reflects the sky and the realm of spirit. It depicts how things that seem to be in conflict at first glance pour into each other like breast milk, interact, and flow.
Through this work, I would like to establish communication with the universe beyond human senses and the power of symbols that have been handed down since ancient times in my own world.
