■Concept of the work

It is a work that uses Matsumura buttons, and viewers can trace the thoughts contained within the buttons. These buttons could not be attached to clothes, but in the process of manufacturing buttons, thought and time are put into each button. Also, I want you to think about the story of buttons that may have been “sewn onto clothes, someone wears them, and they go with people's lives.” Buttons are very familiar. While walking through the book of buttons, I hope you can touch the thoughts of the craftsmen and think about the buttons we wear every day. It presents the story of time from the past to the future by Matsumura Button.

An installation will be developed on the theme of “reconstructing time and patterns.” By capturing trivial memories, scenery, and time as patterns, and by delicately and boldly reconstructing those patterns into space, they create works that enable viewers to trace memories and time. Mainly, cloth, thread, and things related to people and places are used as materials. Since they create works that spin time and memory, it is important to spin and launch with one's own hands. They also create site-specific works that work on local people's memories. It creates spaces and places and expresses installations that can be experienced.
