Work Details
This work incorporates a spring quartet in the shape of the Tateyama mountain range as a motif in Asahi Town, Toyama Prefecture, and placed in a space as a folding screen.
By weaving in the scenery of flowers blooming in various places, the scenery is patterned, and it becomes a landscape in which time associated with flowers is included over and over again. I tried to express an experience where the resolution of the scenery seen from a distance is different from that seen from a distance, which is felt when actually looking at a mountain landscape. I would like to be able to experience the flowers blooming nearby as a spring landscape where viewers know somewhere, and trace nostalgic spring memories.

An installation will be developed on the theme of “reconstructing time and patterns.” By capturing trivial memories, scenery, and time as patterns, and by delicately and boldly reconstructing those patterns into space, they create works that enable viewers to trace memories and time. Mainly, cloth, thread, and things related to people and places are used as materials. Since they create works that spin time and memory, it is important to spin and launch with one's own hands. They also create site-specific works that work on local people's memories. It creates spaces and places and expresses installations that can be experienced.
