Water-based ink, oil-based ink, handkerchiefs
By repeatedly copying and introducing printing errors, Wei-Ni Lu has explored the deviations that emerge in the process, questioning the very notion of originality in printmaking. In this exhibition, she presents a new development of that inquiry. Using ready-made objects as the basis for printing, each piece becomes a unique entity. Through repeated layering, the image and background gradually merge, eventually rising into a dimensional space.
