Work Details

Marine snow falls at the bottom of the ocean, and the sea is at night when the meteor shower is at its peak. The happiness of sleeping well in silence and beauty without a single worry.

I hope everyone has such moments.

The sofa has octopus legs.

Exhibition View

This work was created in the wake of an exhibition in an area affected by the earthquake.

Not limited to the disaster, I'm sure everyone has an indelible sense of sadness and anxiety. It contains a strong desire for everyone in the world to have a deep and peaceful sleep that completely frees them from them.

I have an image of sleep sinking, and it's a peaceful world that sinks deeply and deeper than the ground.

Brass wire is embedded in the legs of the sofa and firmly fixed to the pedestal so that it does not move even if it shakes.

Production period

about 4 months

When I was a kid, I fantasized about what was happening in a closed book.

After the story
/Burniness picked up in the corner of the library

Things that are formless but useful are still with me, and sometimes they become small lights, flexible bags, and sturdy shoes, giving me a little strength to face and understand reality.
Terracotta is unglazed clay, and it is in an imperfect state to be called pottery.
Its soft, warm, and dry appearance is very similar to a weathering fantasy.
For me, production is like throwing away memories I can't remember. It is the task of superimposing the present on a someday imaginary landscape and giving it an outline.
