奔放自在な画風で日本の油彩画を確立した画家・梅原龍三郎のアトリエを東京新宿より移築したもので、設計は数寄屋造りや旧歌舞伎座の建築で有名な吉田五十八氏。梅原氏が好んだ紅殻色の京壁や床間などを取り入れた24畳のアトリエには、使用していたイーゼルやパレット、絵具箱のほか、製作途中の絵画なども含め、梅原龍三郎の愛用品から作品までが展示されています。
