作品详情
The concept of the work: “What does peace mean to you?” A piece for a peace project to ask questions through art. The reason why Oni Yo (one of Japan's top three fire festivals) has continued for 1200 years is a symbol that this country has continued to be at peace. While praying for a good harvest of five grains, brave fierce people carry 1-ton class torches without worrying about being burned.

Artisan, Dyer, Photographer, Artist
Born in 1975 in Kyoto. Currently reside in Yame, Fukuoka. I work as an artisan for an important intangible cultural property of the country. Although I am mainly a traditional craftsman,my goal is to be in a world of art. I work as a sculptor, karakurist, dyer, and artist, and also restores arts and crafts and cultural properties by making full use of techniques such as maki-e, spiraling, and inlay. I have also received many awards overseas as a professional photographer.
