B7：弓指寛治｜Kanji Yumisashi
《半透明な森｜Translucent Forest》
［2022］
弓指寛治は、1986年三重県生まれ、東京都を拠点に活動するアーティストです。「出来事」「自死」「慰霊」などをテーマに、独自のリサーチを重ね、そこから作品を作り上げていきます。
弓指は、石巻南浜津波復興祈念公園の未来を想像し、本作を描きました。
「風が吹く復興祈念公園の中で植樹体験に参加させていただきました。植えた木はコナラ、モミジ、松など。日和山から種を拾ってきて発芽させ、苗木に育てたものでした。管理して植えた木も全て生き残るわけではなく、自然淘汰されていく。残れるものが残り、この場所の成長と変化はその木々に委ねられる。やがてリスや鳥や虫が住み着くかもしれない。いいなあ。楽しみです」（弓指寛治）

Kanji Yumisashi painted this work while imagining the future of Ishinomaki Minamihama Tsunami Memorial Park. “I took part in a tree-planting project in the wind-swept park. The trees we planted included jolcham oak, maple, and pine. These seeds were picked from Mount Hiyori, germinated, and grown into saplings. Not all the trees we managed and planted will survive; those that do will be selected by nature. What remains will remain, and how this place grows and changes will be left up to those trees. Eventually, squirrels, birds, and insects might inhabit them. I love it. I’m looking forward to it.” (Kanji Yumisashi)

1986年三重県出身。東京都を拠点に活動。 Born in Mie Prefecture in 1986. Tokyo base. 「自死」や「慰霊」をテーマに創作を続ける。名古屋学芸大学大学院修了後、学生時代の友人と名古屋で映像制作会社を起業。代表辞任後上京、ゲンロンカオス*ラウンジ新芸術校の第一期生として学んでいた2015年に、交通事故後で心身のバランスを崩していた母親が自死。出棺前に「金環を持った鳥のモチーフ」が浮かび、以後制作される多くの作品で繰り返し登場する彼の表現の核となっている。2021年より「満洲国」を軸に過去の戦争について考えるためのプロジェクトを開始。 Continue to create with the themes of "suicide" and "consolation". After graduating from Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, he started a video production company in Nagoya with his student friends. After resigning as a representative, he moved to Tokyo, and in 2015, when he was studying as the first student of Genron Chaos * Lounge New Art School, his mother, who had lost his physical and mental balance after a traffic accident, died on his own. A "bird motif with a ring" emerged before the casket, and it is the core of his expression that appears repeatedly in many subsequent works. From 2021, a project to think about past wars centered on "Manchuria" was started.
