Work Details
This work projects the joy of life and the transience leading towards death onto flowers.
What I was thinking about before drawing was a picture of flowers dancing in the air, and I wanted to depict the joy of life against the backdrop of the transience leading to death.
I also drew it around Mother's Day, and when I was thinking about life and death, I used to eat it late at night
It reminded me of jako gohan.
I was hungry late at night that day
Take the potatoes and chilled rice out of the refrigerator
I heated it in the microwave and ate it.
I remember that day's jako meal very much.
It really sank into my body and mind.
“It's too tasty...”
I made eye contact with one jellyfish, and I thought.
“You're eating so many lives at once!!!”
There is nature, there are animals and plants, and the potato rice you are eating now becomes your own bones and blood and flesh.
“I'm not living, I'm being kept alive, right?”
That's what I thought. There's nothing I can do on my own,
The people around me always help me, influence and intertwine with each other, and I am what makes me
The joy of being kept alive is born against the backdrop of death.
One day I'll die, and this joy will go away.
It's ephemeral, but it's not sad when you look at the number of joys, and it's a work that projects the joy of life and the transience leading towards death onto flowers.
