Work Details
Can the LOT series (still life of flowers) sublimate wabbiness into beauty and create someone's comfort zone? It was born from that thought.
I have felt a sense of woe due to a trauma that has taken root in my heart since I was a child, and I have denied it. Recently, however, in the midst of repeated self-exploration,
I took a distance from this feeling and looked back at it, and accepted it as a source of beauty. Also, this LOT series is a work that expresses that wishness with bright colors and finds imperfect beauty. I believe that deep human feelings born from woe and trauma lead to beauty.
Experiences such as trauma and woe are definitely not just my own, and I think it's a universal theme shared by many people.
The flowers in this LOT series will be a comfort zone for someone, and I hope they can feel the power to sublimate wabbiness as beauty.

I'm running a flower shop based on the concept of searching for imperfect beauty. Born in 1994 from Mukaijima housing complex in Kyoto I was moved by the Caravaggio paintings I saw at the National Museum of Western Art, He started drawing pictures by himself in 2019 and is based in Kyoto. The place where I grew up called Mukojima was a city where poverty and despair were emphasized. I take this negative environment as a positive, and I consider this a special experience and my own advantage.
