Work Details
I visited the Boso Peninsula.
As someone who grew up near the Seto Inland Sea, the seaside is a place that evokes childhood memories and is the landscape of my heart.
The sight of the sandy beaches with their ripple marks remains unchanged.
I expressed those ripples with paint, just as I used to draw in the sand as a child.
The playful feeling of childhood was expressed by applying paint to a sandy beach with waves engraved on it

1948年、香川県生まれ。写真家。京都写真美術館代表。 公益社団法人日本写真家協会会員（JPS） 『パリスケッチ』『美しい日本のふるさと シリーズ』 『樹々変化』『日本人の道具』『ふるさと再発見の旅 シリーズ』他 写真集を多数発行、その他写真展を多数開催 私の表現は、事象の抽象化を経てキュビズム、シュルレアリスムを体現することを基本としている。 自然や山村、都市、人物といった森羅万象を超現実的に解釈し、ファインダーを通して捉えた被写体を、一度解体し新たな形と存在意義を与える。「写真」という概念のみにとらわれない表現方法を目指している。 ライフワークとして日本・世界の古都や山村漁村を撮影し、書籍にまとめている。
