“Bitten from within” is a work about inner struggles in modern society, with the theme of excessive self-restraint and oppression. A “beast that bites the neck” is a form that appeared when people get involved with others (society). Relationships with others are an important element that enriches people's lives, but even when they are alone, modern people have been involved with “society” for a very long time through social media etc. through smartphones, and are always aware of “others” and “themselves as seen by others.” What forms the inner world of a person is the relationship with society that is external, and conversely, I think it is also the inner world of individuals that influences and shapes society that is external. “Bitten from Within” literally translates into Japanese, it has the meaning of “being bitten within.”
In other words, the inner world is the self being bitten, and the beast being bitten on the neck is frightening at first glance, but its appearance is only a head without a body, and there is no way that a dead beast with only such a head will ever be able to kill itself no matter how much it bites, and I think it is ultimately up to me to keep being bitten by the beast or get rid of the beast.
