Landscape series
“As I surrender to the scenery in front of me, I can see that the world changes color with just a slight change in light.” Some of the scenes in the square cut out photos evoke my memories in the atelier and make me revisit the places I traveled. These are the scenery I met during my travels, the scenery that became the medium of photography, and the scenery that I myself remember. The landscape that emerged by going back and forth between these three parties can no longer show a specific location. It is “somewhere out there,” and it is this landscape that comes up on the canvas that becomes the painting I start drawing.
