Landscape series
“As you surrender to the scenery in front of you, you can see that the world changes color with just a slight change in light.”
Some of the views in the square-cut photos evoke my memories in the atelier and make me revisit the places I traveled.
These are the scenery I met during my travels, the scenery that became the medium of photography, and the scenery that I myself remember.
The landscape that emerged by going back and forth between these three parties can no longer show a specific location.
It's “somewhere that isn't anywhere,”
This landscape that comes up on the canvas is the painting I start drawing.
