Work Details
世界終末時計は、毎年1月に核戦争などによる人類の絶滅（終末）を『午前0時』になぞらえ、その終末までの残り時間を「0時まであと何分(秒)」という形で示されます。去年と同じく90秒と言う短い時間が今年も表されました。絵の中心の時計は90秒を指し円形に流れる周りの雲は永遠に続く時間を表現しています。外から眺める羅漢さんは打開する策を持ちながら見守ります。流れる時間と人間が存在する時間はもうすでに同軸にないのかもしれません。さらにその周りの山水画は縦横無尽に動く水と自然の姿です。水と水を生み出す自然が最後まで地球の味方でありますように。あわよくば少しの恵みを分け与えられますように。

By depicting the world of “Horai,” “Togenkyo,” and “Utopia” in our imagination, I want you to enter a world where there is no suffering even just for your mind, and spend a healthy time.
