Work Details

In this work, the natural landscape and the imaginary landscape born from it overlap. The yellow color that takes up a large part of the screen is reminiscent of the light that fills nature. However, it is not a light that depicts the landscape in front of you as it is; it is a light of memory left in your heart over time.

Meanwhile, the blue-gray and dark blue colors that spread out on the right side of the screen make you feel the serenity and depth lurking deep within nature. The dark colors inserted into the bright colors give depth to the landscape and reveal the presence of unspeakable emotions. There, I would like to depict not only the beauty of nature, but also the feeling of loneliness that is born in the heart when facing nature, and the changing time.

The lines, blur, and fragments of small shapes left on the screen are traces of memories that do not have a clear outline, and colors overlap, shapes appear and disappear, and gradually lose their specificity as a landscape, changing into an inner landscape.

Looking at nature is also looking at one's own heart, and the scenery you see becomes a personal memory from the moment you touch your heart, and eventually you create a new landscape in your mind that is different from the actual scenery. In this work, I want to depict such an ambiguous and rich world born between nature and memory, and between the outside world and the inside.

Yellow light and blue-gray shadows, brightness and loneliness, real scenery and inner scenery. There is no conflict between them, and they are quietly echoing each other on one screen. What is expressed there is not a reproduction of a specific place, but an irreplaceable feeling that time spent naturally changes color in the mind and continues to live as a memory.
