"Double-Sided Drawing series"

A series of drawings installed on window glass. The compositions consist of doodle-like lines and drips of paint, with a variety of textures—such as paper cutouts and oil bleeds—appearing on the surface. Viewers can observe one side illuminated by natural light from outside during the day, and both sides as light filters through from inside. Furthermore, as the light changes from day to night, the appearance shifts: perhaps all surfaces revealed by these external conditions can be perceived as both front and back.

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1999. Completed the Master’s program in Oil Painting at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Currently enrolled in the doctoral program at the same university. Her practice centers on painting and installation. She collects handwriting—such as casual doodles or notes jotted in ledgers—that is strongly tied to individuals’ daily lives and appears as traces, calling them “Micro-letters.” By tracing these into her works, she creates pieces that reexamine the spatial structure of painting itself.Major exhibitions include TOKAS Emerging 2025: “Peach, Q-ushu (Air Raid), 32850 Days” (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, 2025). She was a semifinalist for the 3rd BUG Art Award and received the 2024“Ueno Geiyū Prize” and the 2019 “Keiichirō Kume Scholarship.”
