Choreography montage AME

Theater company ORU by Kanako Suzuki/Darya Zvezdina/Anna Titova-Tubash ♡ Choreography montage Since 2019, I have been working on a "choreography montage". It is characterised by the use of polyphonic elements in which other genres of art - dance, theatre, fine art and music - stand on their own and unify their layers. There is no collage element here, where fragments are pasted together to form a single form, but the foundation is based on montage, which in French originally meant 'assembly', and dance using dance score. Dance score are transcriptions of the images seen in the mind and the movements felt by the body, and unlike mime, they are more akin to hieroglyphics. In a kind of theatrical act consisting of gestures and words, I myself feel something like 'salvation'. As we regularly present our choreographic montage work, we continue to interact with artists (musicians, photographers, sculptors, dancers, actors) and curators, and when their talents are added to the movements using dance score, the choreography montage becomes a 'composite art'. To this end, we aim to establish it as a genre that does not end with the single word 'performance'. There are moments in the work when theatre becomes more than theatre, and when dance becomes more than dance. Our goal is to create a stage that will convince audiences who like any genre when they see such a mysterious space.
