Toshifumi Mori Centered on "care for people, space, and emotions," I create clay sculptures and spaces guided by a touch sensitive to subtle shifts in body and mind. Artist Statement By touching others, I often sense tension or fatigue they may not even notice. Unspoken emotions quietly inhabit both our bodies and spaces. Guided by this awareness, I work with clay—a humble material long entrusted with human prayers—shaping figures, animals, and familiar scenes into three-dimensional forms. I move my hands not merely to build shapes, but to gradually loosen what has hardened. Rather than seeking efficiency or "correctness," I gently embrace ambiguous feelings and subtle inner shifts that cannot be simplified into black and white. I hope my works and spaces offer a place to pause and breathe, easing the tension in someone’s heart and body. With this wish, I create as a quiet prayer for those living in our time.
