“Strata” is a work that explores the relationship between textiles and time, using strata as a motif.
The “accumulation of time” inherent in the act of weaving cloth and another “accumulation of time” of memories, times, and history contained in used clothes used as materials appear as stripes like strata.
It is a work that touches on the flow from the past to the present, which people have spun over a long period of time in their lives, through textiles.
