Natsuha Ito

At the age of 23, I apprenticed under Yoshikazu Fujimoto at the dyeing workshop Fujimoto Dyeing Arts, where I studied the techniques of katazome (stencil dyeing).

Currently, I traverse multiple disciplines, including crafts, fine arts, and antique art, focusing on kimonos and obi. At the intersections of these fields, I engage in creating and presenting innovative works.

Using kimono dyeing techniques and focusing on the four elements—earth, water, wind, and fire—he seeks to rekindle the fundamental connection with the forces of nature that have been severed from modern daily life.
