Work Details
This work uses the technique of “suminagashi,” which originated from the courtly games of the late Heian period. It explores the principles of the movement of waves.
Just as waves move forward, recede, expand, and contract, this work depicts the interplay of opposing forces, balancing and circulating in harmony.

Artist
dye artist
At the age of 23, I apprenticed under Yoshikazu Fujimoto at the dyeing workshop Fujimoto Dyeing Arts, where I studied the techniques of katazome (stencil dyeing).
Currently, I traverse multiple disciplines, including crafts, fine arts, and antique art, focusing on kimonos and obi. At the intersections of these fields, I engage in creating and presenting innovative works.
