Work Details

ST-line [Tensui]

ST-line. It comes to life the moment the colors gently unleash on a paper that is quietly filled with water. Colors that gently intersect and blend together. Amidst the changing times, the colors overlapped, and the smudging quietly stopped, and beyond that, the gentle trajectory of the boundary, which harbors the “inevitable beauty” spun out by chance, remains as a quiet afterglow.

The Tensui series depicts such a trajectory over and over again.

Tensui is rain of blessings received from heaven. It pours down from heaven, cares for the earth, goes around while changing its shape, and returns to the sky again. That pure circle is somewhat similar to our ever-changing lives.

The title of this work is “Tensui,” which symbolizes the series itself. Deep, clean blue that makes heaven and earth blend together, and silver foil that reflects light. In this clear stream of drops, I drew the trajectory of Tensui, which lovingly circulates all things.

Soft fluctuations in color and the fine light of silver leaf. When they overlap with everyday breathing, familiar scenery is depicted with dignity and vividness. I hope this “Tensui” will help you carry comfortable silence and a clean breeze in your day to day.
