ST-line【Glow summer #260803】
ST-line. It comes to life the moment the colors gently unleash on a paper that is quietly filled with water.
Colors that gently intersect and blend together.
Amidst the changing times, the colors overlapped, and the smudging quietly stopped, and beyond that, the gentle trajectory of the boundary, which harbors the “inevitable beauty” spun out by chance, remains as a quiet afterglow.
The GLOW series depicts such a trajectory over and over again. This series has gently scooped up that delicate drop of brilliance that dwells in the silence of the changing seasons.

I have been familiar with calligraphy since childhood, and when I was 17, I was impressed by the beauty of the calligraphy lines of the late Aoyama Sanu (who received the Order of Culture), and studied calligraphy at university. After graduation, I worked for 7 years at a private high school in Tokyo and Saitama Prefectural High School (Japanese language and calligraphy). Since 2000, I has been creating art for domestic and international hotels, model rooms, etc., murals and logo designs for restaurants, etc., and illustrations for packaging, etc. Up to now, I have been involved in about 700 cases. The line I aim for throughout my life is “a line woven by unintentional coincidences.” I think this is something that exists in nature. For example, there is universal beauty in “lines woven by unintentional coincidences” of rain marks on concrete walls, and “lines created at the end of smudges” of cup marks with slightly spilled coffee left on coasters on hot summer days. I continue to study calligraphy and create works that are in harmony by superimposing various lines with universal beauty from a different angle from calligraphy. Furthermore, I am creating each series of works in the hope that it will lead to a world where people respect and harmonize with each other's ways of life so that various lines overlap and harmonize in the work. I would be happy if you could take a look. ■ Major awards in recent years ・ Selected for the 2025 Saitama Thirty Calligraphy Exhibition Toshihide Exhibition ・ Selected for the 2024 Japan Exhibition (book category) ・ 2023 Yomiuri Calligraphy Exhibition Yomiuri Shimbun Award ・ 2023 Kenshin Calligraphy Exhibition Plum Blossom Award ・ Selected for the 2022 Japan Exhibition (book category) ・ 2021 Yomiuri Calligraphy Exhibition Yomiuri Encouragement Award ・ Selected for the 2021 Japan Exhibition (book category) ・ Selected for the 2020 Japan Exhibition (book category) and many others
