タイトルは”Mutant Spear”という架空の映画の題名から。
エンバーミング（防腐処置）の技能者である男が、処置した遺体の型を取り複製して動物の骨などをつなぎ合わせて彫刻作品を作るという話で、その劇中に登場する彫刻をイメージした。
