Work Details
これはヴィンテージ自転車店「自転車操業」の外壁に自生しているはっぱに絵を描くライブペイント&インスタレーションで生まれた作品です。
実験的な試みの企画でしたが、のんびり、のびのびとやらせてもらい、とても有り難い体験でした。
はっぱに顔を描き擬人化する事で「枯れていく」という自然変化が「老い」という変化に置き換わる感覚はとても興味深かったです。
額装して設置すると普段あまり気に留めないような小さな変化にも気がつくようになり、どのように変化していくか？予想がつかないのも面白いポイントとなりました。
This piece was created as a live painting and installation at a vintage bicycle store, “JITENSHYA SOUGYO.
I painted a face on the leaves that grow on the outside wall of this store.
It was a very experimental project for me, but thankfully I was able to paint in a very relaxed and easy-going way.
By painting the faces and anthropomorphizing the leaves, the natural change of "withering" into "growing old" was very interesting.
When I installed it in the frame, I became more aware of the small changes. It was also interesting to see how unpredictable the changes were.
Orecho=オレチョとは？
本多 孝男による複数の作品シリーズをシンボル化、融合することで誕生したキャラクター。
「オレチョ」は作家の自己を投影した表現者として作品に登場している。名前の由来は"己"を"超"えるより。

The character was born by symbolizing and fusing multiple series of artworks by Takao Honda.
"Orecho" is appeared in artworks as an expresser who projects himself.
The origin of the name comes from "I want always overcome myself". In Japanese mean Ore=myself, cho=overcome.
