Pīpī-chan Workshop

A chicken happened to appear in a photo I took by chance, and since then I’ve found myself thinking about birds. In the photograph, the chicken peeks out from a hedge and looks straight at me. I also can’t get the sound of a pigeon chick chirping “pīpī” out of my head. When I look at Sagiyama, I feel drawn to the idea of entering bird society—but unless I can fly, I can’t truly meet them, and they remain wary of me. If the Pīpī-chans were to hold a workshop, perhaps the topic wouldn’t even be about speaking yet, but about something that comes before words: trying to live while breathing.
