Work Details
リビングやバスルームなど、誰かの私的な生活空間がひび割れたコンクリートに木炭で描かれている。描出されているのは作家の自室をモチーフとした光景だが、細部を観察すればこそどこか見覚えがあるような、それでいてうらぶれた心細さも漂っている。コロナウイルスの蔓延によって、家の中は突如として人々を外部から隔絶するシェルターとなった。佐野にとってコンクリートという素材は、堅牢性の象徴であり、そこに刻まれた亀裂はその不確かさを示している。安全圏であるはずの部屋は、ここでは吹けば消えるか瓦解さえしそうな危うさを湛えており、私たちは架空の室内で寄る辺なく立ちすくむ。
