2020年、コロナ禍に直面した社会では身体的な移動および他者との接触が非常にレアなものとなりました。多くの人々がPCやスマホの画面を隔てて社会を受像する、どこかビデオゲームのような日々を生活することになりました。
本作はそのような状況を、かつてビデオゲーム産業のグラフィック表現として隆盛を極めた「ドット絵（ピクセルアート）」で描いています。
「再生」を大きなテーマとし、現在の地球における環境や人種や格差や性差など様々な問題に関して、これから私たち人類はどのように新しい日常を旅していくのかを問いかけています。
私たちはプレイヤーとして世界をより良くできます。現代とはいつでも未来のレトロゲームであり、世界は開発中のものです。私たちは何度でも「NEW (NORMAL) GAME」を始められます。

Yoshinori Tanaka is contemporary artist based in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan. With the theme of overlap between real and virtual called "Street, Ethernet, Field", he creates art that transforms into social records, by alternating personal memories with stories and myths. Selected awards: "KYOTO INTERNATIONAL FILM AND ART FESTIVAL" art category grand prize (2017, 2020).
