Artist

趙聞芳 Zhao Wen Fang
✔︎

Zhao Wen Fang currently serves as the Vice President of the Beijing Women Artists Union and is a board member of both the China Artists Association - China Heavy Color Painting Research Association and the Beijing Art Institute of Chinese Fine Arts Painting. Her artistic achievements and contributions have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the Excellence Award at the First Chinese Heavy Color Painting Exhibition and the Bronze Award at the First China Meticulous Heavy Color Small Works Art Exhibition. Several of Zhao's works are part of prominent collections. Her piece "Under the Forbidden City" is displayed at the East Glorious Gate of the Beijing Forbidden City, and "Baronial Splendor" is part of the permanent collection at the Suzhou Art Museum. Her first solo exhibition held in December 2024 at Joyful Art Gallery in Taipei. Zhao Wen Fang 's artistic creations are seamlessly integrated with her way of life, showcasing a perfect balance of rigor and spontaneity, refinement and boldness, delicacy and strength, solemnity and lightness, classical elegance and modern charm, complexity and simplicity, as well as sensitivity and rationality. Her works embody profound Chinese philosophical thought, reflecting the harmony of opposites—illusion and reality, motion and stillness, yin and yang. Zhao Wen Fang approaches her creations with meticulous thought and uncompromising dedication. Her choice of subjects is independent and unique, never conforming to trends; her materials are carefully selected to suit her artistic vision; her techniques, such as heavy color and freestyle brushwork, are innovative and distinctive; her style, whether richly adorned or lightly embellished, is both elegant and contemporary. Through her art, Zhao Wen Fang conveys her reverence for creativity, her respect for life, and her deep connection to human emotions.
