インドスケッチ (india sketch)
2019にチューリッヒにて、スイスアートエキスポ2019の一角で開催されたArtbox project Zurich 1.0でデジタルスクリーンで展示された作品で、サカグチカオリには初の展示となる。その際に初めて展示用カタログも作成した。
インドにはどのようなイメージがありますか？
この作品はインドに初訪問した時のイメージを作者の目線で生き生きと描き出した作品です。
インドの空港にある不思議な空港のオブジェ、夜の結婚式、楽しく集って踊る人々、自撮りの時の不思議な仕草、青い空。
周りにはヘナ模様を施し、よりインドらしい雰囲気に仕上げました。
作者からみたみたインドの光景を楽しんでいただけたらと思います。

In 2018, she encountered henna art while volunteering at an Indian cultural event held in Japan. Tintricate patterns drawn on arms and hands captivated her, and tracing them with a brush pen led to the emergence of her signature style—delicate yet bold lines. This marked the beginning of her artistic journey, which formally began in 2019.
Without formal art education, she developed a free-spirited approach, exhibiting works both domestically and internationally. In 2021, she received the Hermès International Grand Prize and a national art award. Her 1st solo exhibition was held in 2022, followed by a major show at Daimaru Tenjin in 2024.
In 2025, she presented her first installation themed “Borderless Without travel,” inviting viewers to experience invisible crossings through spatial composition.
