Work Details
Back in February, I visited the Camellia Garden at Oshima Park—an island just off Tokyo—with a friend. There were so many kinds, more than we’d imagined—some pretty, some bold, each with their own charm. We laughed, calling one a little princess, another a city girl, snapping photos as we went. This collage gathers those blooms like a cheerful parade of girls, each showing off her own style.
Camellias come from Japan. After trying different styles, I felt that a Japanese look fit this piece best. Its petals melt into each other with soft gradation, while the leaves feel thick and a bit rough.Maybe this mix brings out a calm, Japanese feeling.
I've been creating works with flower motifs since 2024. How is the plant I confronted breathing. I hope you can feel it. The output is a giclee print with an aluminum mount, and durability is also taken into consideration.

I create my work with a contemporary sensibility and a gently poetic visual language. Using photographs and photo collages taken with a digital camera as esquisses, I shape and refine each piece on the computer.
Throughout my practice, I return to the theme of “the breath of flowers,” exploring quiet moments and subtle tension through color and composition. My work is presented both online and in physical exhibitions.
