Work Details
白色のコットンに水彩顔料やインクで描いています。主に使用する筆やペンの他に、インクジェットによりPCで描くほか撮影した写真をコラージュしています。その為、油絵などでは難しい写真作品のような平面にある陰影でも表現しているので、コットンの持つテキスタイルの素材感を部分的に維持しながらも、奥行きと重厚感の表現を可能としています。
この作品はシリーズで、タイトルにあるPsycheは生命に近い意味です。また、ギリシア神話に登場するプシューケーもモチーフとなっています。近代的なPCによる無機質な技法と古典的かつ写実的な絵画技法をつなぐより有機的な筆跡に、生命的な実物感を見ていただければ幸いです。
