西川茂のSealed House シリーズ。街中で見かける養生シートで覆われた建設中、或いは解体中の建物をモチーフにし、都市風景の「破壊と再生」を主題に独特の筆致と色彩で描いた油彩作品です。
このSealed Statue -the statue of Liberty Tokyo-は東京 お台場にある自由の女神像が補修の為にシールドに覆われている佇まいがモチーフとなっています。
