西川茂のSealed House シリーズ。街中で見かけるシールドされた建物をモチーフにし、都市風景の「破壊と再生」を主題に独特の筆致と色彩で描いた油彩作品です。
このSealed House 100 -New National Stadium-は、 先に記した白紙に戻されたザハ・ハディドによる想像上の新国立競技場のデザインを背景に、 新たに建設され今後日本の一つのアイコンになるであろう現在の隈研吾による新国立競技場の建設途上を描いたものです。
