Work Details
Produced by staining to soak paint, ink, and ink into the cloth.
By repeating the process of blurring the drawn lines with water over and over again, complex expressions appear on a flat, mattiere-free surface.
I'm drawing with an awareness of two dimensions as a cross section or projection.

Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University of Art and Design in 2011, majoring in painting.
In 2020, I began creating paintings using water-soluble ink, which is the prototype for my current work.
Presentations of the "On the Retina" series inspired by the term "retinal painting" by Marcel Duchamp began in 2022.
