This is a scene from Spiritual Songs of Children, Sumito Sakakibara’s new animated film currently in production.

A deer man is crossing a road when he is suddenly illuminated by the headlights of a car, and he stop dead in one's tracks. By anthropomorphizing the deer, the contrast between the deer and the car in nature - the naked, innocent deer and the man-made artifact - is brought into sharp relief.
