Work Details
This work is characterized by intricately intertwined shapes and vivid colors, and seems to express the energy of the ocean and the dynamism of life. The blue background evokes the ocean itself, and the organic patterns that appear on it and the vivid contrast of red, green, and white are reminiscent of waves and creature wobbling.
As you can see from the title “The Sea Is Calling,” this work expresses the relationship between the sea and people, and the appeal and mystery of the ocean.
Also, the ocean is not just a landscape; it is an entity that connects memories, emotions, past and future.
The characteristic thick paint and scratch-like texture of this work are utilized, and the movement of waves and the reflection of the sea surface are reproduced on the canvas.
While the elements in the picture blend together, the fact that they each have their own unique shape captured the instantaneous landscape of the ocean, as if symbolizing the infinite changes and possibilities that the ocean has.
