Work Details
This work expresses a fantastic scene of stars falling on a river. The butterflies depicted in this work dance as if integrated with the stars, symbolizing the mystical connection between life and nature.
Thick paint is used in the work, and colors such as deep blue, green, red, and pink overlap to dynamically express the flow of the river and the brilliance of the stars. The pattern of butterfly wings is fringed over and over, which is reminiscent of the twinkling of stars and ripples of water, and makes you feel the cycle of the natural world and the transition of life.
Butterflies are also symbols of “transformation” and “regeneration,” and it seems that the mystery of the universe and life, and the transience and beauty are quietly talked about through scenes of stars falling and butterflies dancing. This work, which combines stars, rivers, and butterflies, is a powerful yet delicate expression that visualizes the deep connection between nature and life that I capture.
