Arashi Tanaka is a mixed media artist whose work explores the themes of the fragility of time and memory through the use of crystals as a medium. After graduating from Tama Art University in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Design, specializing in architecture, he continued his studies in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London. In 2024, he became the first Japanese artist to receive the British Institution Fund Award at the prestigious RA Summer Exhibition, the world’s oldest open submission exhibition, organized by the Royal Academy of Arts. Currently based in Japan, Tanaka is expanding his international practice, with exhibitions in Spain, Germany, China, and beyond. Biography 2000 Born in Fukuoka, Japan
