その幹に刻まれた紋様は、濁流や煙、肉塊にも見える形態を生み出し、静かな存在の内側に潜む膨大な時間を露わにする。本作は一本の樹木を描きながら、地球、時間、そしてそれらを見つめる人間のportraitを重ね合わせる試みである。

Erika Abe is a Tokyo-based Japanese painter born in Hiroshima in 1998. She earned her B.A. from Tama Art University in 2021 and completed her M.A. in Japanese Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2025.
Through the forms of trees, Abe explores the relationship between humans and nature. Working with traditional materials including washi paper, plant-based dyes, and mineral pigments, her practice considers sustainability and the interconnectedness of land, material, and image.

Biography
Erika Abe is a Japanese painter based in Tokyo, born in Hiroshima in 1998.
