This work is part of the art series, “Materialize,” which features hand-drawn marble illustrations, reminiscent of the opulent fresco-filled interiors of ancient Roman palaces, where real marble was a rarity. Fading bamboo shadows are superimposed on these marble depictions to create a visual dialogue between contrasting Eastern and Western cultures and materials.
