BARROCA has the meaning of “distorted pearl.”
Each one has its own personality, and we are superimposed on each pearl, which is beautiful.
This work, which has many layers of various colors and uneven dots, expresses our lives living powerfully.
I made this work around spring.
The gentle breeze that shakes the curtains and the fresh greenery that swirls outside the window
I remember feeling comfortable.

After working as a photographer for about 12 years, I began seriously pursuing painting, an interest I'd held since childhood. Several years ago, I moved my studio from Tokyo to Kyoto. Currently, I continue my creative activities from both bases, working as both a photographer and a painter.
