ルニウデス・デ・オリベイラ・アブレウは1953年にゴイアス州ピレノポリス市で生まれた。幼いころから芸術に興味を示し、古瓦を集めて背面に絵を描いていた。青年期になり、カヴァリャーダ祭りの騎士をミニチュアで再現したマリア・デ・ベニの作品に出会う。彼女に触発され、小さな馬の習作を市内の手工芸品センターに展示した。あるコレクターがそれを見て惚れ込み、創作を続けるよう励ました。ルニウデスの仮面騎士は粘土製で、衣装や仮面は槍試合のものを縮小し再現している。ピレノポリス市の伝統祭りカヴァリャーダは聖霊降臨祭の一部で、ムーア人とキリスト教徒の戦いを再現する。

Lunildes de Oliveira Abreu was born in 1953, in the city of Pirenópolis, Goiás. Her interest in art manifested in her childhood, when she collected old tiles to paint on their back. When she was young, she knew the work of Maria de Beni, who reproduced the knights of Cavalhada Festival in miniature. Inspired by her, she practiced to make some little horses that she exhibited in the city’s craft center. An art collector saw her production and, admired, stimulated her to continue. Lunildes’ masked knights are made in clay and their clothes and masks reproduce those of the play in a reduced size. Cavalhada, a traditional feast in Pirenópolis, is part of the celebrations of the Divine Holy Spirit, and performs the battle between the Moors and the Christians.
Lunildes de Oliveira Abreu nasceu em 1953, no município de Pirenópolis, Goiás. Seu interesse pela arte se manifestou na infância, quando recolhia telhas velhas para pintar em seu dorso. Na juventude, conheceu o trabalho de Maria de Beni, que reproduzia em miniatura os cavaleiros da Festa da Cavalhada. Inspirada por ela, ensaiou fazer alguns cavalinhos que expôs no centro de artesanato da cidade. Um colecionador viu sua produção e, admirado, a estimulou a prosseguir. Os cavaleiros mascarados de Lunildes são feitos em barro e suas roupas e máscaras reproduzem em tamanho reduzido aquelas da brincadeira. A Cavalhada, festa tradicional em Pirenópolis, é parte das comemorações do Divino Espírito Santo e encena a batalha entre Mouros e Cristãos.
