アントニオ・ホドリゲスは1951年、ペルナンブッコ州カルアルー市アウトドモウラ村に生まれた。父ゼ・カボクロに刺激され、陶芸フィギュアの技法と芸術の手解きを受ける。最初は父親が考案したテーマをなぞり、長じて独自のスタイルを確立した。「動物会議」「黒糖工場」「陶器工場」は彼の創作。作品を弛まず作り続けることで、アウト・ド・モウラの先人達の芸術を伝えた伝統的な芸術家と認められている。現在はブラジルの各州都を巡り、手工芸品やフォークアートの見本市や展示会に作品を出品している。

Antônio Rodrigues was born in 1951, in the village of Alto do Moura, in Caruaru, PE. He was encouraged by his father, Zé Caboclo, who taught him his first lessons on the technique and art of figurative ceramics. At first, he used to replicate the subjects invented by his father and later acquired a style of his own as he grew older. Among his creations are “Conselho dos Animais", “Engenho de rapadura" and “Olaria". He is acknowledged as a traditional artist who continued the art of great masters from Alto do Moura, through a consistent production. Currently, the artist travels from one Brazilian capital to another exhibiting his works at art fairs and of popular art & craft exhibitions.
Antônio Rodrigues nasceu em 1951, na vila do Alto do Moura, em Caruaru, PE. Recebeu do pai, Zé Caboclo, o estímulo e as primeiras lições sobre a técnica e a arte da cerâmica figurativa. Inicialmente, repete os temas inventados por seu pai, vindo a conquistar um estilo pessoal na maturidade. São suas criações o "Conselho dos animais", o "Engenho de rapadura" e a "Olaria". É reconhecido como um artista tradicional que deu continuidade à arte dos grandes mestres do Alto do Moura por meio da constância na produção. Atualmente, o artista viaja pelas capitais brasileiras exibindo suas obras em feiras e exposições de artesanato e arte popular.
