We focus on mixed media, short run artist publications, photo books, and our annual book, ALFA (the Allied Forces Annual). Our collaborators and contributors are from all over the world, and include: writers, illustrators, photographers, musicians, digital artists, graphic designers, and new media storytellers.

ppretend /prɪˈtɛnd/ verb gerund or present participle: pretending behave so as to make it appear that something is the case when in fact it is not. "I closed my eyes and pretended I was asleep" From time to time, we are all "pretending" in the various roles we exist in throughout our lives. Pretending at home, at work, as friends, as lovers. There are always moments when one's inner thoughts and feelings don't align with what is happening at a particular moment and we feel as if we have to play along. Pretending contains images spanning adolescence into early adulthood. A document of the transition from child to adult, from stranger to friend, from friend to lover and back again.
