日本は一般的な共通理解として無宗教な国として知られています。

ですが、日本人は信心がまるでないかというとそうでもありません。

別の形でその光景を見ることが出来ます。

例えば日本のサブカルチャーとしてアイドルがありますが、そこの現場に行くと

どこか宗教的な関連性が見受けられる場面があります。

きっと人間には何かしら、すがるモノが必要なのかもしれません。

実は私自身、そんなアイドルカルチャーの中に数年色々なことを見たり、感じたりしました。

そこで得たインスピレーションを形にしたのが本作品となります。

絵画の構成としては昔の西洋絵画でよく見受けられるマリアのイメージをモチーフに様々な要素を付け加えました。

退屈な解説はここまでにして、後は見る人が色々連想して楽しんでもらえたらと思います。

Japan is known as a non-religious country as a general common understanding.

However, it does not always mean that the Japanese have no devotion at all.

You will find it in another place.

For example, there is an idol as a subculture in Japan, but when seeing it, there are scenes where you can find some religious relevance.

Perhaps humans need something to fling oneself on.

Actually, I myself have seen and felt various things in such an idol culture for several years. This work is the embodiment of the inspiration I have got there.

As for composition of the painting, I added different kinds of elements to the motif with an image of Maria, which often seen in old Western paintings.
