This year's theme, "Wanderlust or Desire to Cross Boundaries," is, in my opinion, to reach the consciousness of all people right now.

ステートメントより 突然失われるかもしれない世界の記憶を、なにかに留めておきたいという思いから、風景や人物を撮影してきました。撮影と編集を進めるうちに、一つの記憶を異なる視点から撮影した複数のイメージのグラデーションから生まれ、もうひとつの空間が交錯するイメージに辿り着きました。 そのとき、被写体だけではなく、すべての現象が断片化され再構成されます。 これらの再構成されたイメージはわたしたちの認識とはかけ離れたものかもしれないけれど、そこに写真から生じた複雑さや矛盾が潜んでいるような気がします。 I have been photographing landscapes and people with the aim of preserving the memories of a world that could be lost suddenly. In the course of shooting and editing, I arrived at an image in which a single memory is created from the gradation of multiple images taken from different perspectives and in which another space is intermingled. At that point, all the phenomena, not just the subject, are fragmented and reconstructed. These reconstructed images may be far removed from our perceptions, but I feel that the complexities and contradictions that arise from photography lie there.
