李育昇 Yu-sheng Li

Yu-sheng Li, born in Yunlin, Taiwan in 1995. Graduated from the Department of Calligraphy and Painting Arts, Chang Jung Christian University in 2017. Gained MA degree of Fine Arts at Chang Jung Christian University in 2022. Awarded in first place in landscape painting category of “2016 Fine Arts Exhibition of the Department of Calligraphy and Painting Arts, Chang Jung Christian University”, Honorable Mention in the Eastern Media category at “2016 Tainan Fine Arts Exhibition”, Merit Award of “TSMC Calligraphy Award – Seal Carving” in 2017 & 2022, Selected by “ 2025 ONE ART Award “, etc. Collected by New Taipei City Medical Association in 2017. He had his first solo exhibition “All Living Beings – Yu-sheng Li Solo Exhibition” at Joyful Art Gallery in Taiwan in December, 2025.

The intricate Chinese fine-line painting of the Song dynasty and the free-spirited literati painting of the Yuan dynasty have always been the focal points of Yu-sheng Li 's artistic attention. Although these two styles are vastly different—Chinese fine-line painting emphasizing the rational and objective depiction of subjects, while literati painting focuses on expressing the artist's inner world—the profound humanistic and life essence embodied in both has deeply influenced Yu-sheng Li's creative trajectory, shaping his artistic approach in recent years.

For Yu-sheng Li, "creation" is the act of seeking a reflection of one's inner self amidst the myriad phenomena of the world.
