“This painting shows a dresser mirror holding a view from Mt. Ulap in Benguet. The exact place isn’t what’s important to me, it’s the feeling I get when I see horizons like this. Looking at wide, open landscapes reminds me of how beautiful the world is and how small I am in it. Moments like these make me stop and reflect on myself, and that’s what I wanted the work to hold.”

His works draw on the houses he has lived in and the places he has passed through, transforming windows, rooftops, tiles, and horizons into contemplative images. Sometimes precise, sometimes intuitive, these forms become vessels for memory and belonging, suggesting that place is less about geography than about sensation and recall.
